Hey collectively you guys seem to know everything.
I am interested to find historical data on how much money the US banks lent each year in the past, as well as how much of that was lent was used for real estate. Going as far back as possible.
I ask Straight Dope because these figures must be published somewhere online. So far I just haven’t had much luck with the FDIC’s website, maybe I just need to be pointed in the right direction.
