And yet the thing seems to keep crashing for the current resident of the WH.
You misspelled “malware”
You crazy Americans with your fixed constitutions - the UK system of just not having one is far better. What? Electoral dictatorship you say? Get thee gone sir!
You don’t have a pocket copy in your briefcase from a visit to the Heritage Foundation?
NRA? Heritage Foundation? What kind of place have I wandered into?
(I have the above link in my Bookmarks)
I am serious about my comment on the constitution:
Article II Section IV
The President, Vice-President and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for and conviction of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
First: is it “other (high crimes and misdemeanors)” or “(other high crimes) and misdemeanors”
Second: what is a high crime or a misdemeanors?
My job involves compliance with federal regulations; the Code of Federal Regulations includes definitions. Why can’t they clarify this section?
We need to clarify grounds for impeachment.
(Don’t get me wrong; I love impeachment hearings. I learn a lot about the Constitution, legal precedent, and congressional rules; a quite a bit of youthful indiscretions. But anything that takes enough time to allow me to starch and iron every piece of plant-fiber cloth in my house, including the table linen - I have lots of table linen - is a waste of tax-payer money.)
Re: guns
Some people say it is an absolute right; some say it is tied to the militia (which was supposed to take the place of a standing army). A constitutional debate will change no-one’s mind.
I live in Massachusetts, I used to have a hell of a temper, and I approve of strict regulation of hand-guns and automatic weapons. I have no problem with guns; I worry about people who own them.
(I own a couple of guns. They’re somewhere in the attic; maybe the basement. I’m not certain where the key to the trigger locks are.)
