My job involves proofreading legal documents and one with a WTC return address prompted the following question:
Anyone know what the Postal Service is doing with mail addressed for the WTC?
Last I heard they were dumping all the mail in various bins at one of the downtown PO’s, waiting for forwarding addresses from the companies.
What friedo said. There are 9 postal workers who were formally assigned to the WTC (all worked at the Church Street Station, one block away) who are sorting and holding the mail. FWIW the zip code for the WTC was 10048.
