US & UN: Neutral Ground?

Two questions about the UN:
(a) Shouldn’t the UN have been built on neutral ground?

(b) I was wondering if the US were to disobey the UN’s wishes, would the US be kicked out of the UN?

Neutral Ground? Well, maybe, but I understand the shopping is terrible in Antarctica.

The U.S. has a permanent position within the U.N., specifically a seat on the Security Council. Something truly gonzo would have to happen before the U.S. was voted out, like making all the diplomats pay their parking tickets.

Of course, if the US gets kicked out, doesn’t a lot of funding and military power go with it?
