I’ll admit that I’m a bit surprised that the reaction was so swift and harsh. I get that it should be officially frowned on, but I thought this type of stupid shit happened all the time in the military.
I don’t remember every seeing any stupid shit at any re-enlistment ceremony I was ever at, did, or took part in. I guess in other places it’s more relaxed.
