Use food processor to slice rhubarb?

OK I’ve cut up about two gallons and in bags for the freezer using the chef set. I’m about 20% done. Can I just put the slicer on the food processor and whip through the rest in no time? The end product will most likely be sauce or crumble later this year. Maybe some pies.

I don’t know why it wouldn’t work … but when I’m cutting up my own rhubarb there are always some tough stalks. Cutting them by hand lets me find and discard them, whereas a food processor wouldn’t.

But, you know. Whatever makes your skirt fly up.

Talk about a thread custom made for arguing.

1: That’s a lot of rhubarb.

2: (whaps running coach with a rhubarb leaf)

Better yet, make him eat it.

Wife bailed me out and will take half of it to school tomorrow to feed the little urchins. She’s the lunch lady and is always OK with food donations. Sliced a bunch and have a quart or so soaking in a sugar brine over night. Will try to dehydrate it later this week.
