In what is almost assuredly a bizarre coincidence, someone named “Qin Shi Huang” joined the Civ Fanatics forums a day before The Poster Formerly Known as Curtis LeMay asked to have his name changed here to Qin Shi Huangdi. Odd.

Actually, I think it would be a good idea for him to put “The Poster Formerly Known as Curtis LeMay” in his sig, at least until people are familiar with the change.

I don’t think Curtis LeMay is ever going to be that difficult to track around here. Especially since he’s announcing his proposed name change in public.

I thought that was standard procedure? Isn’t the idea that you can change your username for reasons of preference but not to escape your post history? Or not. Not sure where I got that idea.

There was that Miz Grand debacle a few years back.

I think I did that when I killed off Fabulous Creature years back. Though I am told my posts are distinctive enough to be recognized no matter what name is appended. Probably the terza rima.

I’m surprised that name wasn’t already taken.

All I’ve got to say is, if The Poster Formerly Known As Curtis beats me to The Great Wall by one turn, I’m gonna axe-rush the motherfucker.
