Using an HDTV as a computer monitor?

I agree wholeheartedly - I’ve been using a DLP XGA front projector for a year. Amazing for computer use & HDTV.

With fixed-pixel devices like DLP, LCOS and LCD - you get all the pixels without the resolution limitations of CRT focus, convergence & lenticular screens.

if you have a Toshiba HDTV, it will most likely have this feature that moves the image VERY slightly over a period of time so that it doesn’t burn the screen. you should check your manual or whatever to check it out
