I see so many people who use different phone plans such as t mobile, att, verizon, straighttalk, metropcs, virgin mobile etc. I know certain ppl need to have unlimited everything such as talk and text and fast data as well. I know there are ppl that need 3gb of data whereas some ppl only need 1gb or even 500mb if they dont use much of it. There are ppl that dont even need many minutes but want lot of text and data.
If someone wants to have lot of fast data but dont want to pay a lot for their monthly bill and just get 100 or 300 minutes for the month, couldn’t the just make phone calls on google hangouts? Example i use google hangouts to make phone calls and receive phone calls when i have wifi. So basically if im outside, i wont have wifi usually, but if my data is turned on, then i would be able to call and receive phone calls through my smartphone.
I know walmart has a $30 plans where you have to buy it from them and then you get 100 anytime minutes and unlimited text and 5gb of LTE DATA which i know is a lot. If this is the case, couldn’t this person just turn their data on all day so they could receive or make phone calls using google hangouts? Or is the issue here the 5gb of LTE data will be used up if they have it turned on all day and obviously they would use the data for other reasons?
Obviously the best option is to have a good amount of minutes where you don’t have to worry about having so little minutes for the month but many ppl want to have 3gb of data and dont want to pay a lot. Im curious but are there ppl that do this so they get lot of data but dont pay much for their cell phone bill and basically turned their data on all day? The issue with this though is wouldn’t it mean they would be calling/receiving phone calls from 2 different numbers? Thus the tmobile one and the google voice one? So let say they used up their minutes for the month with tmobile, then use the google hangouts? OR could you make it the same number?
I think the other issue with this is if the data isn’t that good, then the quality of phone call would be horrible. I think this would be the biggest issue of all? Thus regular phone calls are always clearer than using google voice or skype over data?
