Using Opera for the SDMB

With that version of Opera, you’ll need to change from author mode to user mode to read the spoiler tags.

I didn’t like Opera 7 at first either, but once I got used to it, it all works most spiffily. For one, the spoiler box issue is gone.

In any version before 7, you have to toggle the page to “author” mode in order to read spoiler tags. I didn’t like Opera 7 at first, but I installed a new skin on it and played with some of the settings and am quite pleased with it. (Other than the e-mail client. I prefer Eudora over the current client.)

Both AMD and Cyrix (some also labeled IBM) made 5x86 chips. But these were really 486 chips that competed with low end Pentiums. To confuse things further, Cyrix made 6x86s that were comparable to Pentium Is. But if you leave off the “x”, people generally knew what you meant. Keep in mind that there are more than 1 maker of “x86” chips and a generic term is needed to refer to them collectively. E.g., “facial tissue” vs. “Kleenex”.

I didn’t like 7 out-of-the-box, either, but after turning off all the clutter, it’s great.

Hey Larry Mudd, you should check out the DOS skin if you like less glitz. Otherwise mine is configured same as yours.
