using teamspeak/Ventrilo in world of warcraft

I mute myself as well as my husband (since he’s in the room so I can hear him just fine) so neither of our voices will come through my speakers. My husband does use a headset, however, but that’s because he’s the raid leader so spends more time with his talk button pushed down. There’s probably some echo issues if I happen to hold down my talk button while he’s talking, but I try not to do that. If you don’t play with another person in the room, it’s probably not going to be an issue to just use a microphone.

I recommend getting a decent usb microphone or usb noise-canceling headset. They’re much more reliable and sound better on the other end. Logitech makes some good ones.

There’s a bajillion Ventrilo hosting services out there. The one we use is Nation Voice, which we’ve been using for the past 3 years now and have never had any issues. I just pay the fee myself since it’s small change (from my own perspective anyway), so I wouldn’t know anything about the PayPal options.
