No, but there’s an argument to be made that the other 10,000 missing people deserve at least a tiny fraction of the attention that she gets or has got.
I can see how it looks like a sandal. But in the picture of her wearing it, it’s white (the top part that goes between the toes), whereas the one behind the van looks gray. Yes, it’s in shadow, but the shot of her wearing it isn’t exactly focusing sunlight onto her footwear.

Right. I mean it has the exact same colours as the rocks in the immediate area. Also, the sandal on her foot in the picture is much more bright white.
When you are out walking footwear gets dirty and bright white footwear shows this much more distinctly than dark colored footwear–a reason why many of us never wear bright white footwear.

Yahoo news reported that the home is considered a crime scene, which confuses me.
I think in a very broad sense a crime scene is anywhere that forensic evidence may be gathered.
Or the crime might be “obstruction of justice”.
