I think a big part of this is how bad you perceive bad experiences.

I’m pretty easy to please. I like basically everywhere I’ve ever traveled to. I think I’d
be equally happy to visit Tahiti, Luanda or Omaha. I can’t think of anywhere outside of active war zones I wouldn’t enjoy going. I’ve traveled in all kinds of conditions and as long as I have a window to look out through and people to meet, if all makes me happy. I don’t get scared or uncomfortable easily.

Likewise with food. I have things that I like more than other things, but food basically all tastes pretty good to me. I’m never really worried about getting a dish I don’t like, because that pretty rare.

I think someone with stronger opinions and stronger emotions toward things they dislike would probably have a pretty different outlook.
