Intersting anecdotal report: I’ve exactly one wet dream in my entire life (that I’m aware of). And it took place well over a year after the vasectomy.

That part of the question was silly. Even full castration, done post-puberty, doesn’t kill libido.

I think the implication was that there would be no sperm to ejaculate. Of course, this also implies a lack of knowledge of the role of the prostate and seminal vessicles in the production of semen.

I think the question was more interesting that Cecil gave it credit, as in “why do people have wet dreams.” I’m not sure libido is directly responsible, and maybe the asker thought it was a built-up of sperm that caused the release. In which case, you’d have more wet dreams after vasectomy.
