Having stayed in a lot of hotels recently, my girlfriend has fallen in love with a type of under blanket we’ve been finding in many of the rooms. The blankets all seem to be a cream/toffee colour, are fairly thin, and soft but not silky. I don’t know a lot about bed sheets, but this one seem to be positioned above the sheet but under the top duvet.
The label on the blanket at the last hotel said “Vellux” but, after a search on the Internet, that just seems to be the company name.
Does anyone know what I’m describing and where I could buy one in Canada? (Alberta).
Yeah, my search probably did suck, but the first few pages I found gave the impression it was a company that made a few different types of blanket. Your Vellux link explained all.
Now I just need to find a walk-in shop in Alberta, Canada that sells them!
I’m guessing that any department store will have them in their blanket section. These blankets are more common than you think. They’re also rather cheap, which is why motels have them.
And if blankets aren’t available in large and varied quantities in Alberta, I don’t know where they would be.
