Verizon to Get iPhone in Janauary 2011

According to MSNBC AT&T will loose it’s exclusivity on the iPhone within 6 months. Verizon will start carrying a CDMA version in January of 2011.

I though for sure Apple would allow T-Mobile to carry the phone since they use the same GSM system as AT&T but I guess not. I guess going with the largest cell carrier in the US makes more sense.

There are also rumors that Verizon will roll out its LTE network in November. So perhaps Verizon will be coming out with an LTE/CDMA version of the iPhone, which would explain why they haven’t picked up the iPhone before now.
