Very obscure movie (or TV?) quote

Ok, as most John Wayne fans know, the movies Rio Bravo and El Dorado are rather similiar in some respects.

But my question here is not about that, per se, but rather about a reference to them. I have a recollection of a movie or TV show many years ago in which a male character says something to the effect of, “No, Dean Martin played the drunken sheriff in Rio Bravo; Robert Mitchum played the drunken sheriff in El Dorado.”

So how’s that for obscure? Does anyone else remember that line at all? Anyone remember it enough to tell me what it’s from or who said it?

(And to save a tangent, I do know that Dean Martin actually played a drunken deputy in Rio Bravo, but I’m pretty sure the quote I’m looking for referred to both as sheriff. But I could be wrong about that.)

It’s from Get Shorty.

HIT MAN:
This time it ain’t no John Wayne or Dean Martin shooting bad guys in El Dorado,
CHILI:
That was Rio Bravo. Robert Mitchum played the drunk in El Durado. Dean Martin played the drunk in Rio Bravo.

Sorry, Chili can’t spell. The dumb galoot.

… from the book by Elmore Leonard …

Thanks, that was quick. Guess it wasn’t all that obscure. But being from Get Shorty does explain why I remembered the line but not the context…
