I have a little time before I have to get to typing tonight, and I want to kill it in an enjoyable manner. I have two choices calling to me:
-
Videogames. They’re cheap. More accurately, free. I already own everything I need. But they’re very sedentary, and it’s such a beautiful day.
-
Driving range. I’m on a golf jones lately, and want to go smack some balls. But at $9 for 50 balls at my local range, it’s not cheap.
::Looks over at the game of Hot Shots Golf Fore going on the PS2 right now::
Don’t see why you can’t do both.
Get yourself down to the driving range and hit some balls. I played golf today with my son and we had a great time. Although the driviing range isn’t quite the same it’s still better than playing World of Warcraft or bloody Street Fighter !!!
Funny that you mention that, Hal.
Played a good two hours of Tiger Woods PGA on my Xbox.
Spring has just begun and it’s beautiful. Go outside.
What driving range sells 50 balls for $9? Where’s your local range, Tokyo?
My bad. 50 balls is one token, $6. $9 gets you two tokens, or 100 balls. Still expensive.
Pretty much the only driving range in NYC, Chelsea Piers, charges $20 for 80 balls. Personally, I think you should go to the driving range as a silent slap in the face for such incredibly overinflated Manhattan prices. Do it for us, man!
