Can Jesus parkour over walls and save people’s souls with kick-ass “finishing moves” in either game?

I finished Watch Dogs 2 (after taking a break to replay through most of Middle Earth: Shadow of War). I liked it; the RC drones were fun and the hacking minigames had some thought put into them.

The RC drones and being able to hack cars and people’s personal devices is what made the whole game for me. I loved tricking one faction into attacking another one at a site so they can kill everyone off for me, then afterwards I can casually walk around and loot everything.

I just installed Visions of Mana on my Steam Deck. I’ve never touched a “Mana” story or game before.

I hope it is fun?

I have played and replayed the Demo version of Windrose. I have almost 50 hours so far. It releases on Early Access tomorrow and I can’t wait.

Windrose Early Access Release Date And Launch Times Confirmed - GameSpot

Note: 13 years ago I bought The Long Dark in early access and I still play it (I have a long Survival Mode game going that I played just this morning). The final episode of Story Mode released a few weeks ago and I have already finished it. $20 well spent in 2013. Early Access rocks.

I am a huge fan of the “Mana” series, going back to Secret of Mana (which itself very strongly resembled the old Final Fantasy Adventures on the Game Boy, which was also an isometric action RPG that had a follower). It seems like a big departure, so I found it a little disappointing, as the gameplay is pretty different. But I really like the storyline and graphics, and the combat is pretty neat. I think it would be more enjoyable for someone coming into the series cold than an old school fan of the series who wants a touch of nostalgia.

Yes, I played and enjoyed Look Outside. A few thoughts:

  • There are way more playable characters than I (and probably you) initially realized. Some of them awesome and others horrible (you are not forced to take them with you). If you don’t want to look up a guide to find them, try doing crazy stuff and watch what happens.
  • The endings are very Lovecraftian and you’re almost certainly going to get a bad ending the first time around. Good stuff.
  • The game is dark and gives you moral choices on several occasions. It very much does not reward you doing the “right-thing.” Again, good stuff, no complaints here.

I finished “Look Outside” and got what appears to be a bad ending. I, uh, watched the other endings online. There were a lot of interesting ones.

Wow, thanks! I was really disappointed in the Ubislop Skull and Bones, and this seems like it could fill that niche? We could really use another good pirate game.

:scream: Has it really been 13 years?! I could’ve sworn that came out just a few years ago… god.

In honor of Rory McElroy winning his second (back-to-back) Masters, I just reloaded EA Sports PGA Tour, the Masters version. I just played 18 at Augusta National against Jack Nicklaus. He won. But he only shot a 75. I shot 78. I haven’t played it in a while so I wasn’t used to all the little intricacies of the short game. I could’ve done better.

I received a free copy of Visions of Mana from a redditor online.

I have never played a “Mana”/“Seiken…” game in my life. Hope it is fun.

I set it to easy to make my life simpler.

I picked up PGA Tour 2k25 a few weeks ago, it was only $17 and change. They try to nickel and dime you for everything, but it scratches the golf itch. From what I understand EA has more officially licensed content, more real golfers and courses, and looks marginally better overall. But I don’t follow golf anyways, so I don’t care that much about real golfers or courses.

Anyways I’m enjoying the game; the difficulty is easy to dial in to where I am not a total potato, but can still keep up with the AI players. The broadcast commentary is really annoying, but easily turned off.

Supposedly the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake is about to release, but for real this time. While Ubisoft, at least it was a good game back in the day.
