I’m guessing you are referring to a YouTube video you saw. YouTube content varies from absolute bullshit to high-quality content made by professionals.
It helps if they got the name right - it’s Buried Earth, and they’re clearly ranting about this video about the Salme ship burials. And the actual conclusion of the video seemed to me to be exactly the same as the OP’s point, that the start of the Viking Age wasn’t clear-cut, and there were earlier raids - they just framed it in the typical historytuber clickbaity style first.
Anyhoo, only English archaeology privileges Lindisfarne. Actual Scandanavian archaeology uses a different periodization with way more focus on the 550-800 period being its own thing (Vendel/Merovingian/Late Germanic Iron Age) regardless of whether they were raiding (going viking)

If you want to avoid “crap lack of research just for clicks,” I think you need to be careful which YouTube videos you watch. Some are bullshit, with or without A.I.-generated content.
