Miller also has a very solid Scully impersonation.
Furthermore, one of the managers in Miller’s first broadcast did a spot on impersonation of Connie Mack.

The Dodgers are playing the Giants here in San Francisco and they just switched over to Scully for the 3rd inning broadcast. I now fully appreciate what a bunch of pikers those two bumps on a log (Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow) we’re stuck with to announce Giants games.
The Giants just gave a very classy presentation for Vin Scully with a plaque honoring his presence in the visitor’s broadcast booth. Nicely done.
“Don’t be sad it’s over - be glad it happened.”
Gonna miss you, Vin. Sorry your last game had to be such a lousy one. But then, you always were a Giants fan.
I really enjoyed the third inning today, listening to Vin.
He’s not doing playoff games?
Nope. Vin has categorically refused to do any more games, even if the Dodgers get to the World Series.
The highest praise I can offer awfully is that even as a biased, partisan Yankees fan, I loved hearing him call games in the 1977, 1978 and 1981 World Series.
Yeah, well, good for Vin.
And the Dodgers aren’t getting anywhere near the World Series.
If the Dodgers and Giants meet in the NLCS, then Vin should call the series. His personal wishes must give way to the greater need of posterity.
So let it be written, so let it be done.
It was nice when, before tonight’s Giants-Cubs game 2, they opened with Vin Scully and included some of his classic calls throughout his 67 seasons. Classy, a nice touch.
Yes, that opening was lovely and fortunately (as I am a Cub fan) that was the only point in the game that made me cry!
Yes, yes, and I did a lot of crying in the first two games. The 2016 Cubs are very strong and deep, they have a formidable team.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight, October 13.
Nice! Have to catch this. Hope he gets to do the rounds as a “retirement tour” of sorts.
Interesting. Wouldn’t they be taping that around the same time that the game starts?
