Why did he give his Golden Globe to Jack Lemmon? It was a nice moment, but I’m not sure of the motivation. I’m sure it’s something very simple. I know there was some criticism of it.

He said that Lemmon was his inspiration for becoming an actor. This was his ultimate homage.
Lemmon was very obviously extremely uncomfortable with it, and while I know it wasn’t Rhames’ intention I think it really embarrassed him. I wonder whatever became of the actual award.
I know they said that they were gonna give Rhames another one. I’d assume Lemmon kept it, no way to give it back without seeming rude.
