Basically, I need to recover the seat cushions on my boat. Now, I was going to just have someone do it, but then I’d be without the boat for a while, and I haven’t seen anyone’s work around here that I like.
So, if I decided to go ahead and give a shot at the work myself, what should I be looking for in a machine? I’d want a machine that is relatively inexpensive, but can handle 30 to 36oz vinyl (which actually isn’t all that tough to sew through), and probably something at has or can use a walking foot. Single needle should be fine, I have no need to get fancy.
Sewing machine or serger? Brands? Any advice would be welcome!
