Virtual Sommelier

Here’s your chance to help me select which wine to serve with my dinner tonight. Dinner will be NY Strip (Angus beef) with a mushroom/shallot sauce, sided with roast potatoes and haricots vert.

Here are the candidates:

1999 Trappiche Malbec (Mendoza, Argentina)
2000 Chateau du Bousquet Cotes du Borg (Grand Vin de Bordeaux)
1999 Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon (Washington, USA)

Be quick about it, I’m about to cook and I need to uncork this stuff.

(See links below)

1999 Trapiche Malbec (Mendoza, Argentina) *
2000 Chateau du Bousquet Cotes du Bourg (Grand Vin de Bordeaux)**
1999 Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon (Washington, USA

*Corrected spelling of “Trapiche”, which by the way is a registered trademark.
** Again with the spelling errors. I will be assimilated.

Must be getting pretty thirsty.

I don’t see the issues. The answer is, of course, all of them!

Went with the Malbec, which was very nice, but I might have preferred the Cabernet. The steak was most excellent!
