Just gonna bump this thread up because I’m going to have a huge piece done on my forearm next week; the funny thing is that it isn’t even remotely related to the original idea that led me to start this thread. Funny how that works.
I’m honestly not concerned with any negative consequences or anything; tattoos on the forearms, while certainly visible in most situations, are easily concealable via dress shirts and stuff, so any jobs or whatever that might call for a covered-up approach aren’t out of reach there.
Tattoos on the neck or face, though? I can’t imagine I’d ever get anything there; pieces in those areas are nearly impossible to hide without being overt about it or looking ridiculous.
That’s the plan. I’m booked for a complete eight-hour day, so as long as everything goes well enough there should be a significant portion of the tattoo finished by the time the session is over. The thing is, it’s such an elaborate design that I highly doubt it can possibly be completed in one day; I mean, even the artist himself indicated to me that it would probably take additional sessions to get it right. Ideally, it would take no more than two trips under the needle, but realistically I’m looking at 3-5 sessions. Still, the artist was really ecstatic about the piece and I’m excited as Hell for it, so it’ll all be worth it.
Yeah, maybe I’ll post pics or a Youtube video or something in order to document the tattoo. I’m actually almost reticent to post anything on these boards, though, because many of the posters here are so damn critical lol. Haha, we’ll see.
Oh, piss on the critics, 2ManyTacos, we want to see your ink! I’ve been watching Inkmaster so I have tattoos on the brain. Good luck man, 3-5 sessions sounds like a pretty bad-ass tattoo.
