Sorry, never been there, so all I have to offer is that Gatlin, Nebraska, is where the Children of the Corn live, so if some creepy kid asks you to walk into a field to meet “He Who Walks Behind the Rows” get the hell out of there.
On the plus side, I’m sure that Gatlinburg, TN has no relationship to Gatlin, NE.
That would be the previously mentioned Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (yes, “Great” is part of the name). That’s why it’s nice to go early on a Saturday when the loop is closed to cars until 10:00am.
