Seeing as how you specifically mentioned a name (rather than perhaps saying, “No, you’re thinking of someone else”) who had disagreed with you before, it doesn’t seem all that random.
And that your thread title accuses Putin of being a pedophile (hopefully jokingly, though your OP seems equally extreme) doesn’t really put you in the best light regarding people you disagree with.

Well, I would say the thread title is more like half joking. The pedophile accusation is pretty extreme, but I still contend that the incident in question was kind of weird.

That’s true. I saw the clip, and it was pretty weird (at least, to me. I don’t know how weird it would be to a Russian). But I don’t ascribe any suspect motivations to it, other than trying to give himself a nicer image.
