Our small company needs to do VoIP conferencing of 2-6 people, using computers and headsets (not external telephone gadgetry).
It needs to work on MacOS X and Windows XP; Linux would be a bonus, too.
It needs to have good sound quality, and it needs to work. We’ve wasted too much time (and therefore money) on too many half-baked solutions (see below).
We would happily pay for it, as long as it’s not thousands of dollars. We would happily use something subscription-based.
We used the OpenH323 toolset for a while (including ohphoneX), but even with the highest codec settings, the sound quality is awful compared to Skype and iChat AV; also, the software is pretty immature and unstable.
We have been using Skype a lot, but Skype is not mature enough on OS X yet. Even on Windows it’s not completely solid. Since most of us are on OS X, Skype is not an option at the moment.
Anyone?
