Bill in the AZ legislature to make a lottery whereby one voter in the primary and one in the general election can win a million bucks.
I always think drives to get people to register and vote are counter productive. I really don’t want people voting who have little interest or who are too lazy.
Now we’ll thave he the state’s gamblers all flocking to the polls. Is this a good thing?
Would the voter actually have to cast a valid vote to be eligible to go into the million dollar draw? Or just turn up at the polling booth and scribble on the ballot paper?
I just saw this on the news. It’ll probably go the way of the proposal to pay us for waiting at the MVD. It was going to be something like $60 for every half-hour we waited. It failed. I could have made hundreds of dollars last time I was there.
