What makes this recording worth twelve and a half grand?

It’s autographed by Richard Wagner, of course.
If you’re really interested in it I did see that Amazon has the exact same set at $180 new and some of their affiliates are offering it at $100.
I have Solti and the Vienna Philharmonic on LP from Time/Life when I was a kid. $100 on CD makes we want to eat macaroni and cheese for a while. Thanks.
This is the part that intrigues me the most about that listing:
Too many old Nazi’s kickin’ it in Brazil and trying to get some Wagner for their iPods or something? I thought they all went to Argentina. ![]()
It’s only worth that much if someone’s willing to pay that much.
Nah, the laws regarding stem cell researching and cloning are better in Brazil.
I suspect a misplaced decimal point, and that the actual price is $124.95. Either that, or that the U.S. dollar has dropped worse than I heard.
(Why do people put an apostrophe in “Nazis”?)
I think its the same reason they put apostrophes in “Ps and Qs.”
I own this recording, and have had it for years. It was worth every penny I paid for it. Fortunately, I did not pay twelve large.
Your location seems to be near that of Siegfried.
