(Perhaps this should be in MPSIMS, but there is a question buried in here.)
The subject line says it all – I have a spider in my display. Namely, in my Apple 22" LCD Cinema display, down in the bottom transparent part. The spider is beige-ish, and has a body about a quarter-inch long, with legs its diameter is maybe a half-inch. It almost feels like a terrarium here in front of me. What I’m wondering (besides how it got in there) is, could it do any damage?
I’ve had the display since November, so it didn’t ship with the spider. I’m guessing he crawled in through the vent ports in back, but they’re small - maybe he did it when he was smaller (his body could fit through the holes, but not his legs). For the last hour I’ve just seen him crawling around down in the transparent bottom section. Oops, I spoke too soon - now I can’t seem him anywhere. Oh wait, there he is again. Can’t be much to eat for a spider in there… I see a couple of tiny brown dots – maybe spider poop?
Could a small-ish spider get anywhere dangerous inside a Cinema display and be able to do damage to the display?? Is there something I could do (like spray canned/cold air in through the vents) to kill him without damaging the computer? Has anyone else ever had a similar problem?
Cobalt.
