Getting whipped certainly wouldn’t be within the scope of many jobs. But finding ways to get people to work harder without actually imparting physical abuse on them is quite acceptable…quite expected. But, I guess you could argue she was “harmed” somehow. If she suffered harm from that contest, shen has a case. Earlier, I mentioned that if she was climbing ladders or endangering herself for the prize, then the scope of the joke changes.
She sold more beer. She hustled more. It was a joke. Sure, fast talk the whole scenario into a sob story for her. Get over it, lady…you got taken by a good joke. Is her harm her embarrasment?
Let’s take it to the umpteenth degree and have a pity party for her.
Good for her. And shame on those that think corporations are always right and employees don’t deserve fair play and that we should just throw a “pity party”.
