Heh, I have kids! They are probably safer outside than inside!
They are well cared for, they aren’t just outdoors. We have several out buildings so they have shelter. Before the mom cat had them I prepared a box with an old blanket in it. I put her in it, then I moved it into one of the buildings and took her in there. She had the kittens a few weeks later in the box up on a high shelf. She started to move the kittens a few weeks ago. She would bring them out in the day and either she or sometimes hubby or I would move them back to the box at night. We just recently moved the box down so the kittens could get in and out on thier own. They have started to eat regular cat food. I mix powdered milk for the mom about every other day.
There was an incredibly friendly lost cat wandering around, outside. I wanted to take it in, but thought I’d better leave it out… and now it’s gone… (sniffle) don’t you think I deserve a kitten for compensation?
