Want to block someone, but they're a mod

A suggestion, which I thought of on another board, but this thread seems a good place to ask: is there a setting or something where you can put mods on ignore, but if the mod types mod note or mod warning in their post, it overrides the ignore feature?

Does an official warning get you an EMAIL? Because, to be honest, I check my PM’s like once every couple of years or so.

Same here (I have them turned off anyway), but the email address is also one I never check as well (I barely bother to check my “real” address as well).

In a MPSIMS thread about a valedictorian controversy, Miller is posting things that make me want to block him (?), but due to he (?) being a mod, I couldn’t. It seems clear he’s (?) commenting as a Doper member not mod. What solution, if any, are there?

Not that I have the urge to ignore any moderators, but:

I liked at another forum I went to, they had a custom VB tag called [noparse][modnote][/modnote][/noparse], which was really just a shorthand for:

[noparse]**MOD NOTE:

<Text>**[/noparse]

So, when applied:

(Of course, this board was white on black, so the red looked better, substitute your own eye popping, but non straining color).

For one, it made it very easy to see where a mod note was, so if you were skimming a long thread you had less of an excuse to miss moderator “cease and desist” warnings peppered throughout, and if you wanted to outright ignore a moderator, you could easily see when he/she was speaking as a mod, and not as an ignorable poster.
