Wow, and I thought the anime convention I attended last year was weird… :stuck_out_tongue:
The guy on the gryphon costume was quite good by the way.

So, dare I ask, but how do we know of such things?

I’ve poked around after that fateful CSI episode and couldn’t find anything about it.

Was picture googling "skant" (kind of skirt I think) from a Star Trek thread in Cafe and it popped up.

Where do people find these Furry costumes, and of what use are they on days other than Halloween?

I’m sure many of them are homemade. This one certainly is.

They make the costumes, and it’s either sexual, a sort of desire to be an animal instead of a person, or more likely both.

I never liked those whole-body animal costumes, even when I was little and didn’t know about furries. For example, Piglet from Winne-the-Pooh should NOT be the size of a grown human. He’s supposed to be little and cute, not huge and scary. Also, you never know WHO is really in there, and they never talk. Creepy, creepy, creepy. As bad as than clowns (who at least kind of look like people).

The fact that people are now sexualizing that sort of thing just gives me the heebie-jeebies. Most fetishes don’t bother me, as long as all parties involved are consenting adults (or teenagers, whatever), but the whole furry culture makes my skin crawl.

For your viewing horror: Furry Forum Posts from Something Awful’s Weekend Web. Pretty much the worst of the worst. Safe for work, as long as no one actually reads what’s on your screen.

Actually, this thread is about a subset of Furries called Fursuiters.
