Want to use tablet wirelessly to projector. Ideas?

My new classroom has a ELMO camera that can run the picture of a book through the PC and out to the video projector. The screen is annoyingly far from the camera, and there’s a lot of running back and forth. I would like to have a .pdf file on an Android tablet and be able to scroll the screen from the tablet. I assume I would be connecting via Bluetooth or wifi.

Can someone tell me the system that could do that? I could pair the tablet with the PC via Bluetooth, but after that I’m stuck. When I’ve picked through the monitor settings on a Windows machine, it seems to be picking outputs, not inputs. Can I make the PC screen show the tablets’s screen? Or are there projectors that can connect wirelessly to tablets in the first place? I would be willing to think about buying another projector, as I would either use it a long time or sell it off.

Is this the easier solution? http://www.dotcells.com/smartphone-video-projector-adapter-bluetooth-interface.html

I’m sorry to be one of those people who doesn’t answer your actual question, but if you are able to load the presentation on the PC, an simpler solution might be to get a wireless presentation remote like this one.

Yeah, unfortunately that doesn’t really solve the problem, as I need to switch between .pdf files. I’m using great stuff from another teacher, but it was built to match another course’s pacing and design. I’m picking out pieces from different files often. I know there are wireless PC mice, but doing things like opening another file sounds like a pain using those little scroll buttons.

This can be trivially easy with Apple hardware - if you’re able to connect an Apple TV to the projector, you’d then be able to display anything from an iPad to the projector via what they call AirPlay.

I haven’t seen it work first-hand, but my understanding is there are Android apps like Twonky Beam and DoubleTwist that let you stream from an Android device to an AppleTV.

Either way, the main obstacle might be connecting the AppleTV. The thing itself costs $99, but it only puts out HDMI, so you may need an adapter to connect it to the projector.

I have an iPad for my classroom and there’s an app called Doceri that lets you use an iPad as a clone of your PC screen, so you can control the PC from anywhere in the room. There is not currently an Android version, but I’ve read on a few sites that one is coming soon.
