Wanted: SDMB punster, Out of Sight, Steve Soderbergh

I have an unusual request, but hey that’s why I belong here!

I need to write a brief ad for a local event that Steven Soderbergh will be attending and we’d like to somehow include a pun based on the title “Out of Sight”. Now, there are things that I can do that would be utterly, utterly obvious and boring. You guys are better at this than I could ever be. <-- Sucking up.

So, wanna help me come up with some puns on Out of Sight? I will owe you a beer or the soda of your choice.

Can you put JJ Walker next to Soderbergh and say “Out of Sight? Dynomite!”

Hmmmm… ::rubs chin:: …

Are they showing his version of Solaris? If so, “Out of Sight, Out of Mind”.

I’d consider working an angle concerning the socio-economic shift that’s happened since OoS came out, and esp. the cataclysms involving the financial-services and real-estate sectors.

How 'bout this? “Back when banks were robbed, not bailed out,” or “Nowadays it’s ‘the suits’ who rob you. Remember when it was the other way around?”

Or ditch the context and just work with the stars: “Clooney looks good in a suit… and a ski mask… and even in a prison-orange jumpsuit… and J-Lo looks Out Of Sight in absolutely anything.”

Or play on the “TV DIRECT” ad campaign: “Don’t just watch ‘Out of Sight’; watch it with its director, Steven Soderburgh!”

What’s funny is that I forgot to mention that this is a sponsor’s ad that goes in the program. The sponsor in this case is a financial services company. :smiley: Option #1 would make for a (to me, at least) very funny meta-ad.

Insert the word “in” and make jokes about his being "out of ‘insight’ ". As in clueless.

Disclaimer:
This will require him to have a sense of humor and may result in his hating you.

Does it have to be an Out of Sight reference? Could you call the event “Ocean’s Too Many People In This Room”?

Yeah, it’s what my boss requested. But I like your idea a whole lot.
