This is about a fairly wealthy black family who have problems with their marriage and their relationship with their 10 year old daughter. The wife learns how to pray better from an old lady. They also get mugged. There were at least 5 times in the movie where people are crying. I cried a few times as well even though I’m no longer a Christian.
I found it to be pretty realistic and interesting. The leading man was athletically impressive. He had huge muscles and could do a somersault in the air while on a normal floor. Sony and Tristar Pictures (with the winged horse) seemed to be proud to have their logos at the start of this Christian movie. Jesus was mentioned a few times as well as the devil/Satan.
I thought it was surprisingly good. It had funny scenes that were actually funny and emotional scenes that were actually moving. There were a couple of amateurish parts and it did not seem to want to end but it had characters I cared about in a realistic and compelling story arc. Recommended.
