I purchased a new carafe to replace a broken carafe. The new carafe doesn’t come with the blade assembly. I’ve got to remove the blade assembly from the old one and put it into the new one.

The problem is is that I can’t figure out how to do it. I can’t find my manual. I tried looking on line for a manual but struck out there as well.

There’s a nut that holds the whole assembly together from inside the carafe. I can’t seem to loosen it though, so I thought there might be another way to remove the blade, one in which I don’t come so close to losing a finger.

Anyone ever had to do this?

I’ve worked on blenders that have a large nut on the outside of the bottom of the container. I’ve had to soak the area in hot water to loosen it. Have you tried that?

I’m serious here: throw the old carafe against the wall. It’s broken anyway. Break it the rest of the way and the nut will come off without soaking since there will be no glass holding it tight.
