Uhm…the fuh. I have a difficult time believing Diddy got permission for this because there would be creative control issues…etc…you can’t just call up DC and say “Yo im doing a tequila commercial, how many zeros do i add to the check for y’all to not ask questions?”
Now I could be completely wrong and Diddy and DC were onboard from the gitgo, but I think it more likely Diddy just said “I got more money then God”. I can’t find anything about a collaboration or permission, but neither can I find anything about DC being upset.
I know what ‘Video Unavailable’ means. I have no idea what the video was. Also, why was this thread and a bunch of others from 2022 showing up on the list without any new responses?
I searched for the Youtube URL and found this. So it was Diddy dressing up as the Joker (specifically the Heath Ledger Joker from The Dark Knight) in a promotional video for his tequila brand.
Seems like he didn’t, because here he says Warner Bros. sent him a letter about trademark infringement (“Last year I was the Joker and I actually got a letter from the studio that I can no longer be the Joker”).
Thank you! On both things. I’m glad he got a letter, cause it (at the time) was breaking my brain a little to see him so willfully infringe on trademark. Of course these days it makes more sense he would so brazenly do that.
