Warning by FBI Agent - Urban Legend?

I’ve now heard two stories that seem similar and vaguely ULish.

First, Mrs. Lucwarm told me that one of the mothers in her our child’s class told her about a family member whose father is an FBI agent. The family member lives in Fort Lee, New Jersey (the town on the New Jersey side of a major bridge into Manhattan), and was supposedly told by her father to move out of Fort Lee.

In another thread, somebody’s FOAF was warned by an uncle who is a CIA agent to stay out of NYC this weekend.

Is there any truth to these stories of warnings to family members by FBI/CIA agents?
