I know that the US hasn’t declared war since 1941. We have, however, engaged in various ‘wars’ since then - Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, direct support for overthrowing various governments in Central/South America and Asia, and our current actions in Afghanistan and Iraq, just off the top of my head.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find a comprehensive list of what they were called? Meaning: Korea was a “police action”, Vietnam was a “counterinsurgency”, and so forth? My Googling is apparently sub-par tonight.
