Was anyone other than O.J. seriously considered a suspect in the Nicole and Ron murders?

Is wearing latex gloves going to make that much of a difference when trying on the “crime” cloves? Latex gloves are skin tight and designed not to add bulk (well, at least my doctor’s are when he sez “cough”). I remember (its been awhile) OJ could barely get his hand into the gloves in question. If he could shoe horn his hands into these gloves would he have been able to grasp something like a knife? - I’m just asking. Given this was a crucial part of the case couldn’t OJ have been instructed to remove the latex gloves and try again?

electonbee, I believe he is in jail in Nevada for a couple of years, but still looking for the killer.

Dana Carvey - Framin’ OJ. Still works.

Here’s a pic of him with the gloves at least 85% completely on.

It’s not that the latex gloves added bulk. They added friction. It is quite difficult to get gloves on over latex gloves unless the outer glove is much larger. He probably could have gotten them on with some effort and fiddling, but the extra resistance from the latex certainly helped with the “they don’t fit” shenanigans.

It’s easy not to get them on if you’re *trying *not to get them on.

MostlyUseless, the bloodied clothes would have been in the garment bag he gave to Kardashian upon his return from Chicago, who then made it disappear. So not only did Slut Daddy not get charged as an accomplice, he actually acted as counsel.

Anyone who has had to stuff an unwilling toddler into a snowsuit would’ve been unmoved by OJ’s performance.

wasn’t it supposed to be the one-armed man who fit the glove?

To this day I remain unclear on how a 50-year-old man with arthritis can kill two people with a knife - both of whom were half his age and in peak physical health, and one of whom was a ski instructor.

he used the golf cure for the arthritis.

OJ was an All American Running Back, granted in 1967, but he set world records (back then) in sprint relay 4 X 110, a Heisman Trophy winner for USC and was an all time leading rusher (placing second when he retired) in the NFL.

Even if you are 20 years older then when you last played professionally, there are some things, that when your adrenaline is pumping, it all comes back to you.

According to Wikipedia: “On June 15, 1995, defense attorney Johnnie Cochran goaded assistant prosecutor Christopher Darden into asking Simpson to put on the leather glove that was found at the scene of the crime.” Annoyingly, they don’t go into detail as to what exactly Cochran said to ‘goad’ Darden.

Another reason for the glove not fitting: OJ may have avoided taking his arthritis medication (which contained an anti-inflammatory drug) the day of the demo, allowing his hands to swell up.

O.J. was 6’1" and a former athlete. Nicole was only 5’5". Goldman’s height is variously given as 5’9" or 6’1". O.J. was prepared for what he was going to do, at least in Nicole’s case, while the victims were taken by surprise. It doesn’t seem that astonishing to me.

Oh - I agree that stuff is true - I just don’t get the point. They were extra large gloves. Most people think of that as the largest size possible (I realize they aren’t). The fact that they fit him would not impress me at all - they should be big enough fit almost anyone - and maybe if he had toddler hands it would look silly.

The fact that the gloves fit (in the prosecutions mind at least) - really didn’t add anything but theatrics. Might as well have him sit outside in the bronco - or show he can hold a knife.

And as far as the posts about arthritis. That is what the defense kept claiming - they piped down on that a little bit after the prosecution found a fitness video that OJ recorded - four months earlier.

I didn’t see the video, but it obviously was the type of video that was like “ooh - follow the moves I do on screen and you can be in shape just like me.”

I’m guessing if he truly had movement issues - he wouldn’t have been able to record such a video. And if it truly showed him looking like an old man - Johhny Cochrane would probably have added that to his rhyme “if OJ can’t sit - you must acquit.”

ETA: actually - I guess I can see goading maybe being the reason - if you are stressed out like I’m sure Darden was - I guess it make sense he might have let his emotions get the better of him. At least it is a plausible reason.

Prison, not just jail. He’s been convicted

He was actually sentenced to 33 years in prison, the first 9 without parole. I don’t know when he’ll actually get out, but he’s been there since 2008.

I’ve always thought that he did it. I’m unimpressed by the Faye Resnick story. I’m a little more impressed by the serial killer who happened to be working as a handy man (or whatever the actual story is-- it’s been a long time since I saw the documentary), and apparently did steal a piece of jewelry from Ms. Brown, but gory knifings weren’t his MO, IIRC.

However, if someone altogether different confesses some day (with evidence), I won’t be shocked; after all, I was once thoroughly convinced that Gary Condit was responsible for the death of Chandra Levy.

+2

And I might add, put on jeans fresh out of the wash on the first day of your period. But an hour later, they fit just fine.
