Are you kidding? They basically ignored (at least publicly) the Trump campaign’s Russia issue during the campaign while they mercilessly persecuted Clinton for that stupid email issue, even reopening the investigation just before the election to inflict a maximum amount of damage to her campaign.
The IG report flat out says they didn’t.

This. The FBI was so against Trump that they kept that investigation completely under wraps, and only released information, against policy, on the Clinton investigation. An obvious subtle double bluff.

Everything the FBI did that was out of the norm in any way in 2016 worked to the detriment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
If they were out to stop Trump, they must’ve thought 2016 was Opposite Day all year.
Besides which, the FBI is supposed to be biased. They’re supposed to be biased in favor of truth and justice, and against criminals. So they should have worked against Trump, and it’s a shame that they didn’t.
Technically, they were working on the Russia investigation. It just seems that they did not find any smoking guns within the necessary timeframe.
Conceivably, if they had, Strzok might have leaked the contents. That would seem to be the only way in which he would have been able to “stop” the election of Trump in sufficient time. And, technically, it would have been criminal for him to do so, but not necessarily unethical given that it would save the nation from having a major criminal serve as president.
But that’s quite a different thing from what the FBI’s attackers are envisioning. They’re talking about the FBI manufacturing falsehoods in order to stop Trump. If that were the case then, indeed, they seem to be really slow about getting on that.
I don’t know how anyone could have derived that from the report. Two agents in private email exchanges expressed the desire that Donald not get elected, as is their constitutional right. Nowhere did they say that they would use their positions to do anything about it.
Comey appears to have been concerned about himself first and foremost. It’s like he was thinking “Hillary is going to win. I don’t want it to appear that my thumb was on the scale for her, so I’ll keep my mouth shut about the Russia investigation. In fact, to remove all doubt about not having my thumb on the scale for her, I’ll jump up and down on the scale in favor of her opponent and make comments about how she was careless but not to the point of being prosecutable. What’s more, I’ll sit on Weiner’s laptop for a month, then look at it two weeks before the election and cry OOH- SHINY OBJECT! HILLARY’S EMAILS!”
And of course this whole episode shows why it’s incredible that Giuliani ever got out of high school, saying this report proves that Donald was being persecuted and that the agents should be in jail. Fucker was so happy about 9/11 that he’ll say and do anything to get his mug on television just to enjoy the warmth of the limelight all over again.
The OP did not derive that from the report. He’s a propagandist that knows exactly what he’s doing.
If I can find written evidence of a member of he armed forces working to elect Trump, is that proof that the military intervened in our democracy to thwart Clinton?
