Was the "that guy" line original to PCU or was it stolen from somewhere else?

Everyone that has seen the movie knows all about the “that guy” phenomenon. But if not, this line of dialogue sums it up pretty well:

Droz: What’s this? You’re wearing the shirt of the band you’re going to see? Don’t be that guy.

So anyway, spotting "that guy"s at concerts has become a fun activity for my friends and I and I’ve even met people that have never heard of the movie but know someone that would rail against the evils of being “that guy.”

What I need to know is if the writers of PCU made up the “that guy” theory or if they stole it from somewhere else.

It sounds like something that would originate from a cult flick like that. There is a dontbethatguy.org. Frankly I don’t see what the problem is with wearing such a shirt.
