Washer Dryer suggestions

I used to be a garbage man (great job by the way, learned a lot). In any case, we used to drop off old appliances at a recycling place. They would knock out the dents, repaint them and sell them with 1 year warrantees to institutions like dorms and so on. They also sell to the public.

Since I saw this one place, I have learned the most every US city has a similar business. If I was in the market, I would start there.

Looks like someone (or a whole bunch of someones) found themselves a nice economic niche!

Washers, dryers, refrigerators, and other large appliances are very sturdy machines; if they’re running today, chances are good they’ll be running a year from now. And the ones that don’t - well, you just give 'em another machine that somebody junked.

6 years? Is that supposed to be impressive? Our Kenmore went 20 years or so. We also got a good 20 years out of our heat pump. I think we were told that they are only supposed to last 5 or 10. It did leak towards the end.

How is it the fault of CR that the sensor doesn’t work on the machine you bought?
