Washington National Airport

The reopening of Washington National Airport is currently in Phase I. This involves resuming shuttle service along the Eastern seaboard and resuming service to a few key airports.

Phase II is supposed to begin soon, though, with National now having been open for two weeks (correct me if I’m wrong on that). Does anyone have any insight into what airports will be included in the Phase II openings? I have a friend visiting here soon who’s very curious about this.

National’s web page has some information about flight operations. This press release seems to be the information you are looking for, though it appears the specific cities have not been announced yet.

Thanks, Geobabe, but that’s what strikes me as so odd. There’s only a week of Phase I left, so I thought they would have come out with the schedule for Phase II by now. Although, we had all of two days notice that it would open at all, so maybe my expectations are too high.

I think that’s your problem, right there.

“Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority: Expect the unexpected!”

I just wanted to post in this thread to mention that no one yet has mentioned the “R” name.

Good for both of you.

National it shall be!

That would be worse than calling the Old Executive Office Building the… eh, I’m not gonna say it. Nothing against the guy, but it shall always be the OEOB to me!
