Wasting beer sucks

Last weekend I had a big party at my mom’s place on Long Island. Lots of people were invited, but many of those people saw that it was threatening to rain on Saturday, so they bagged, anticipating a rainout.

Over 130 people were expected, and the party was an all-day and all-night endeavor, so I figured I would be safe with six kegs. Due to the low turnout, though, only two were ever tapped. I now have four untapped kegs.

The beer store won’t give me my money back. That’s understandable. I’m too tired and wasted from the first party to have a second party. I put the kegs in a cool spot in the garage. Now, what do I do with 4 kegs of beer that may or may not be skunky? I would feel terrible if I returned it to the store.

Cruise around some local high schools and offer 'em to high school kids.

Post your address and I’ll see you Saturday…hell, 8 tonight good for you? :stuck_out_tongue:

Whooo hoooo! Party at THespos’s!!

If you don’t mind keeping them on ice, they should stay good for 1-2 months as long as they are kept at 38-40 degrees. Once tapped, they’ll stay good for about 10-20 days.

Happy drinking!

Hey!! I live on Long Island!! I’ll be right over!!

A keg of beer + tall building(near empty lot)+ video camera = lots of fun - keg deposit

I like Wolfman’s idea the best so far…

Which is not to say that I wouldn’t enjoy having y’all over for a keggerfest, but I’m just soooooo worn out from last weekend.

Make beer-marinated turkey. Lots of beer-marinated turkey. Hell, recover your losses and sell the turkey to your neighbors.

monster, methinks you know way too much about the storage and shelf life of kegs.

Well, I did look up that information. I know way more about putting beer in my tummy than keeping it on the shelf.
