I just happened upon this, Watchmen - A Comic As Political Commentary? , I think it dates back to 2006, but it is hilarious to read, I had to shut down my strawman detector, it was bleeping off with every sentence. But it’s a funny read for any Watchmen fan.
On what page does he start talking about the book? I gave up after three pages (or rather, after the first page, the “continue on to the first page”, and the “continue on to the first page of the first page”).
Lol, I had forgotten about that. Yeah, you’re totally right, when I started reading the piece, I was wtf, I came here to read about “Watchmen” not “Using Watchmen as a plot to tell me your uninteresting life”. Here’s where it really starts, and where he stops plugging in his life. For some reasons, it is as much navel gazing but it is quite entertaining in how he gets out of his way to repaint a scenery that would do more justice to his army of strawmen:
