I have a beautiful caramel-colored leather daypack. A few days ago I had a water bottle in it, which leaked its entire contents into the daypack. The lower few inches of it were totally soaked, inside and out (I didn’t know leather could be that porous). I let it dry out, but now it has stains where the water had been. The affected areas are duller, with white deposits around the edges. What can I do to restore its former condition?
I’ve found Pecard to be a good source for leather care products. You may be able to email or call them to find out the best product to use.
